All tips are covered for hotels and evening dining throughout the tour, however, a gratuity will be offered to our coach driver on the last evening of our tour. Tips will be at your discretion and dependent on the service you feel we received on the tour.  As a guideline for good service between $10-$15 per person a day (or Euro equivalent) is suggested.

    Day 1

    After pick up in Dublin, we begin our journey today by driving west, stopping in the heart of Ireland to tour one of the most famous sacred sites in Ireland, Clonmacnoise

    This beautiful site was founded in 544 by Saint Ciaran on the banks of the River Shannon, and includes round towers, three significant high crosses, nine churches and over 700 early graves, including many ancient Kings, abbots and monks. From Clonmacnoise, we continue west towards Galway, and the Twelve Hotel. Once there, we will check into our accommodation and dine at the award winning Blackthorn Restaurant. Guests have the option afterwards for an Irish music session in Donnellys, a local pub just a short walk from the hotel.

    This morning drive south from Galway to experience the Cliffs of Moher located in wild and rugged west Clare. On the way, we will stop at Dunguire Castle, the most photographed Irish Castle on the island, and enjoy the quaint town of Kinvara…

    Continuing south through County Clare, we will then drive through The Burren, a unique rocky Atlantic landscape, and as we do we will reflect on the writings of Irish mystic, John O’Donohue. Our last stop will be the wonderful and mysterious Poulnabrone Dolman, believed to be 9,000 years old. Returning to the Twelve Hotel, we will have time to relax and enjoy dinner together at the elegant Pins Restaurant.

    Today we depart Galway heading northwest to the Connemara Mountains on our way to the Kylemore Abbey and Gardens – the most photographed site in Ireland…

    The Abbey is home to Benedictine nuns who care for its stunning Victorian gardens, neo-gothic church, wishing stone and walking trails set in 1,000 acres of mountainside in Connemara, which we can enjoy.  After lunch at Kylemore, we then stop at the resting place of Irelands famous poet, W. B Yeats and the ancient monastic site of St. Columba in Sligo. Youll learn the fascinating history that connects St. Columba to the famous Book of Kells and the ‘Battle of the Books’ legend that made the Saint leave Ireland for Iona. That evening, well luxuriate in the 5 Star Lough Erne Hotel and Spa after we enjoy dinner at the multi award-winning Catalina Restaurant.

    Day 4

    After a wonderful Irish breakfast at Lough Erne, we travel a short distance to Irelands oldest pottery, Belleek, dating back to 1857. Take time to watch the artisans at work and shop before we head into Donegal Town, and trace the footsteps of St. Columba, touring Donegal Castle, built in 1474.

    We will learn about the ODonnells Cathach Shrine, containing Psalm 94, and the legends of the Battle of the Book. On the town square, called ‘The Diamond’ we will lunch at Simple Simons”, a superb organic restaurant and from there, visit Magee’s weaving and perhaps Hannahs Hats, learning all about the famous Donegal Tweed. Finally, we will end the day at our resort for free time, to use the Thai Spa or go for a walk around the Lough.

    From Armagh, we will then continue along Saint Patrick’s trail ,visiting Downpatrick and the St. Patrick’s Center. Our expert guide, Dr Tim Cambell, will bring us to Patrick and Saint Brigid’s grave site and to Saul church, the place where St. Patrick landed in Ireland to begin his ministry of bringing Christianity to the Celts. Our last stop will be at the early Christian holy healing well at Struell. Then, after a day of rich sacred legacy, we will drive north to Galgorm Manor and Spa Hotel, a global award winner for best luxury spa in Europe, to relax and unwind. Diner tonight will be at the Gillies Restaurant.

    Our awe-inspiring highlight will be seeing the Giants Causeway, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The causeway rocks are hexagonal-shaped columns that dramatically cluster on the wild Irish Sea and have to be seen to be believed!  From the Causeway, we will then enjoy lunch at the Courthouse Bistro with a local arts design space for shopping. Dinner tonight will be on your own schedule to relax, with an evening Heartwell Reflection with Susan by the river, at the spa setting at Galgorm Manor .

    Our morning reflection will be on Ancient Holy Wells, with time for personal contemplation. From the family home, we travel south for our final group luncheon at Fitzpatricks, an award winning restaurant with lots of Irish charm. Continuing south, our last stop will be at Monasterboice, the site of Irelands best preserved, intricately carved high crosses which are some of the worlds greatest sacred treasures. The crosses are considered the finest artistic and spiritual expressions of the early Celtic era, carved in stone, and finally we will end our day back in Dublin for our final night at the comfortable Crowne Plaza Airport

    The location of the Crowne Plaza at Dublin Airport makes our morning transfer to the terminal easy as prepare to say goodbye to Ireland, filled with memories to last a lifetime!
