    Day 1

    Depart Dublin to drive north along the coast to Belfast, a fascinating city of culture, where we will enjoy a welcome luncheon before exploring the Titanic Center.

    The Titanic Center is a world class exhibit on the site of where the famous liner was built.  From here, we can enjoy a driving tour of Belfast before going to our first overnight hotel experience at the fabulous 5-star Culloden Castle Resort and Spa on the outskirts of the city where we can unwind and relax. Welcome to Ireland!

    Day 2

    Today we drive North to the Antrim Coast and to the famous Giants Causeway, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, passing through Belfast as we head north.

    The Causeway stones are hexagonal shaped columns that dramatically cluster on the wild Irish Sea; and are a spectacular sight. We will meet our guide for the day, Mark Rodgers, a superb local guide whose family have been bringing guests to the causeway for generations. From the causeway will stop to have lunch at the famous Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and have a photo stop at the dramatic Dunluce Castle, perched on the edge of the cliff looking out across the Irish Sea. Take in the dramatic coastline before we head back to the comfortable Culloden Hotel to enjoy dinner together in the fun and relaxing Cultra Inn at the Hotel.

    Day 3

    After a wonderful Irish breakfast we depart today for Hillsborough Castle in the picturesque village of Hillsborough.

    This incredible 18th century manor house is the official Royal Palace in Northern Ireland, showcasing royal art and priceless period furniture. The castle grounds and gardens are also a joy to explore and following our visit, we will enjoy a group lunch in the historic Hillside Restaurant in the village, dating back to 1752.

    For those who are golfing today, our driver will escort the group back to the Culloden Hotel to change and prepare to play at the Royal County Down course. The remaining guests will enjoy afternoon tea with Judith’s family where we will learn about traditional Irish bread making, followed by some fabulous antique shopping in the village of Saintfield, nearby.

    This morning we depart Culloden for the nearby town of Downpatrick to discover the journey of Saint Patrick.

    Explore the Saint Patrick’s Center, visit Down Cathedral along with the actual grave of St. Patrick before we drive west to the city of Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland and the ancient Celtic capital to explore its history and enjoy lunch together. From Armagh, we then continue our journey into the west, and the Lough Erne Resort, our next overnight hotel. Our early arrival at Lough Erne will allow time for guests to enjoy a 9-hole golf experience on the championship course or spend an afternoon in the spa. For those interested in visiting the famous Belleek Pottery Factory, which is nearby, our driver will take us to the charming village of Belleek, with time for the pottery tour and shopping.

    Day 5

    Today depart the wonderful Lough Erne resort for Galway, , stopping on the way at Drumcliff Church in County Sligo, the famous resting place of Irish poet WB Yeats.

    From Sligo, our journey will take us through the stunning Connemara Mountains to the famous Kylemore Abbey. A gorgeous place to visit with a very relaxed atmosphere, and one of the most photographed sites in Ireland! The Abbey is home to the Benedictine nuns and is renowned for its stunning Victorian Gardens and walking trails.

    After enjoying lunch at Kylemore we will continue our journey to Galway and our next overnight stop at the unique and wonderful Twelve Hotel. The Twelve is a privately-owned boutique hotel with incredible Irish food and hospitality and was winner of the 2018 Irish hotel of the year. Relax and unwind before our dinner together in the incredible West Restaurant – an absolute treat!

    Day 6

    After breakfast this morning we depart for the stunning coastal drive through the Burren in County Clare, passing through the City of Galway.

    The Burren, also known as ‘Rocky land’ in Gaelic, features unique Stoney landscapes that resembles the surface of the moon with the contrasts of the both alpine and rare arctic wildflowers that thrive in the cracks and crevices. In County Clare we will visit the famous Cliffs of Moher, a natural masterpiece with its stunning breathtaking views and on our return journey we will stop at the stunning. Dunguaire Castle to experience the award-winning banquet together in the fully intact 16th century castle. The performance will pay tribute to Irish Poets and classic literary artists from the area such as W. B Yeats, James Joyce, Lady Gregory and George Bernard Shaw. Enjoy!

    Today we depart Galway for Dublin City, driving east and arriving just before lunch time. Our schedule will allow free time for guests to shop in Grafton Street with all of its wonderful stores and street performers…

    or visit the National Gallery before meeting up as a group to visit Trinity College Dublin and the famous Book of Kells. Tonight, we will dine in the Saddleroom Restaurant in the Shelbourne Hotel, an historic Dublin landmark. A dinner to reflect on a wonderful week of culture, adventure, food and friendship.

    After dinner together, our driver will escort us to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Dublin airport to prepare for our morning departing flights.

    Day 8

    The location of the Dublin Crowne Plaza makes our airport connections today stress free, with free shuttles that leave every 30 minutes, as we say goodbye to Ireland and return to the United States with a host of memories of the Emerald Isle! – Until next time!
