Day 1

We will depart Dublin for Royal Hillsborough, to visit Northern Ireland’s Royal residence. We will have a guided tour of the Castle with time to enjoy the gardens with 100 acres of peaceful woodlands, picturesque glens, and walled-in gardens.

Our group luncheon will be in a local secret gem, Clenaghans Restaurant, with its eighteenth-century buildings, literary connections, and reputed use of local ingredients from farm to fork. Our accommodation will be in Killeavy Castle Estate, set on 365 acres of rolling green countryside of Co. Armagh, with time to relax and unwind. Welcome to Ireland!

Day 2

We depart Killeavy Castle for the Saint Patrick’s Center in Downpatrick. The museum tells the story of Saint Patrick through an interactive exhibition using new multimedia technology.

Afterward, we will visit the famous saints’ gravesite and the medieval Down Cathedral. After lunch, we will then drive to Armagh City, stopping first at Navan Fort to experience life over 2000 years ago, as the resident Celtic Clan reenacts the footsteps of warriors, and our group participates in an interactive Celtic wedding on the ancient Iron Age village site of Emain Macha. Enjoy a driving tour of the city of Armagh, learning about its Georgian architecture, and our land of Saints and Scholars before we head back to Killeavy Castle to enjoy a group dining experience at the prestigious AA Hospitality award-winning Gullion Restaurant, with Chef Darragh Dooley.

Day 3

Today, we leave Killeavy Castle to have Irish tea and Scones with Judith’s family. It’s a warm family welcome like no other, where you will enjoy stories and a taste of home.

Afterward, we will tour the Titanic Experience in Belfast, a world-leading visitor attraction that tells the story of RMS Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s. Our luncheon today will be at the multi-award-winning Shu Restaurant with its high-quality modern Irish food. After lunch, we will enjoy a short driving and photo opportunity tour of Belfast, before heading to the Luxury Ebrington Hotel and Spa. The Luxury Ebrington Hotel has stunning views overlooking the River Foyle. The location in the city center allows guests the opportunity to explore the vibrant Derry pub and music scene.

Day 4

We depart the Ebrington Hotel for the Giants Causeway following the Causeway Coastal Route, which is one of Ireland’s most scenic drives, and breathtaking at every turn.

You will find yourself embracing the Giant Spirit as you drive these legendary roads and awaken your senses and imagination to stories, and scenes from movies, such as The Game of Thrones, and a photo opportunity at the Dunluce Castle, the inspiration of C. S. Lewis’s Car Paravel and the Chronicles of Narnia. The rugged beauty of the coastline will take your breath away. We will explore the Giants Causeway, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. Tonight, we will dine in the award-winning AA Rosette Restaurant with chef Leigh Thurston.

Day 5

We depart the Ebrngton and enjoy a city tour of Derry, the home of Ireland’s only completely intact historic walled city made famous by the show, ‘Derry Girls’.

History is all around us, as we walk on the walls built over 400 years ago and learn about the Siege of Derry, the famous murals depicting ‘the troubles’, to the Peace Bridge, a symbol of hope. Afterwards, we will drive to Glenshane Country Farm to meet 4th generation Shepherd James Mcloy who will introduce us to his amazing working sheepdogs Tess, and demonstrate how they work on the sheep farm with panoramic views of the Sperrin Mountains. Then we will drive towards the West, to the 5-star Lough Erne Hotel and Spa, for hospitality like no other. Tonight, guests can unwind at the Thai Spa or walk around the Lakeland resort, with time to relax and enjoy some free time at the resort.

Day 6

We depart the Lough Erne for Belleek Pottery, Ireland’s oldest pottery with over 160 years of craftsmanship. We will tour the pottery to see individual artists working from design to production and some time to shop afterward.

We will then drive to Donegal town to tour the Castle and learn about the O’Donnell Clan, Lords of Tir Conaill, and the most powerful Gaelic families in Ireland from the 5th to the 16th century. No visit to Donegal would be complete without a weaving demonstration from Magee’s Weavers and learning about the history of the region’s renowned industry. After time to enjoy the town with its legendary pubs and shopping, we will drive back to Lough Erne to enjoy an award-winning dinner with Chef Stephen in the Catalina Restaurant.

Day 7

After a leisurely breakfast, we depart Lough Erne for Trim Castle, the largest, best preserved, and most impressive Anglo-Norman castle in Ireland, made famous by the movie “Brave Heart”.

We will enjoy a guided tour of the iconic Castle, built in 1172 in the legendary Boyne Valley. Our afternoon tea experience will be at the Carton House. The Palladian-style luxury 5-star hotel in Kildare is built on 1,100 acres of parkland, and the surrounding demesne was the ancestral home of the Earls of Kildare and Dues of Leinster for over 700 years. The scrumptious afternoon tea treat is an unforgettable event for our final intimate group dining experience. After tea, we will make our way back to Dublin, say farewell, and prepare for our journey home the next morning

Day 8

Guests will say farewell and take the complimentary shuttle from the Crowne Plaza airport hotel to Dublin international airport to fly home.
