Day 1

To begin, we will depart Dublin for the exciting city of Belfast, capital of Northern Ireland and a city filled with story and culture. We will explore the amazing Titanic Museum, situated on the very slipway where the famous ocean liner was built before enjoying a world class welcome luncheon at the newly opened Bedford Hotel in the city center with celebrity Chef Noel McMeel.

After lunch, we will embark on a fascinating driving tour of Belfast, stopping at the many murals and historic sites, including the famous peace wall. Tonights accommodation will be in Killeavy Castle Estate, set on 365 acres of rolling green countryside of Co. Armagh, arriving with time to relax and unwind. Welcome to Ireland!

Day 2

We depart Killeavy Castle for Hillsborough Castle, the Royal residence in Northern Ireland athe place where the historic peace agreement was signed in 1996. In Hillsborough, we will explore the quaint 18th century village along with a guided tour of the histroic castle before we drive the short distance to Judith’s family home.

At the family home, we will enjoy Irish tea and scones along with an Irish bread making demonstration – wonderful hospitality like no other!  After spending time with the family, we drive to Downpatrick in County Down to explore the Saint Patrick’s Center and visit the grave of Ireland’s patron saint before we head back to Killeavy Castle to enjoy a group dining experience at the prestigious AA Hospitality award-winning Gullion Restaurant, with Chef Darragh Dooley.

Day 3

We begin today by driving the short distance to Armagh City, stopping first at Navan Fort to experience Gaelic life a thousand years ago as the resident Celtic Clan recreates the footsteps of Ireland’s ancient warriors. This will be fun as our group participates in an interactive Celtic wedding on the Iron Age village site of Emain Macha.

From Navan, we will enjoy a driving tour of the city of Armagh, learning about its Georgian architecture before we then travel west to the walled city of Derry on the shores of lough Foyle. Derry is the most intact walled city in these islands, dating back to 17th century, and we will enjoy a walking tour of the walls before heading to the luxury Ebrington Hotel and Spa. The wonderful Ebrington Hotel has stunning views overlooking the River Foyle and the location in the Derry city center allows guests the opportunity to explore the vibrant Derry pub and music scene.

Day 4

We depart the Ebrington Hotel for the Giants Causeway following the Causeway Coastal Route, which is one of Ireland’s most scenic drives, and breathtaking at every turn.

You will find yourself embracing the Giant Spirit as you drive these legendary roads and awaken your senses and imagination to stories, and scenes from movies, such as The Game of Thrones, and a photo opportunity at the Dunluce Castle, the inspiration of C. S. Lewis’s Car Paravel and the Chronicles of Narnia. The rugged beauty of the coastline will take your breath away. We will explore the Giants Causeway, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. Tonight, we will dine in the award-winning AA Rosette Restaurant with chef Leigh Thurston.

Day 5

Today we depart the Ebrington Hotel and drive into County Tyrone, to the wonderful Glenshane Country Farm to meet 4th generation Shepherd James Mcloy who will introduce us to his amazing working sheepdog Tess. James will demonstrate how they work on the sheep farm with panoramic views of the Sperrin Mountains – a true irish experience!

From the sheep farm, we will lunch at Friels Restaurant, close to the Gorta Swatragh’s Famine Story Center, where we will explore and enjoy a fascinating tour exploring how the Irish famine affected this part of Ulster. From there, Then we will drive toward west to the 5-star Lough Erne Hotel and Spa for some hospitality like no other. Tonight, guests can unwind at the Thai Spa or walk around the Lakeland resort, with time to relax and enjoy some free time at the resort.

Day 6

We depart the Lough Erne for Belleek Pottery, Ireland’s oldest pottery with over 160 years of craftsmanship. We will tour the pottery to see individual artists working from design to production and some time to shop afterward.

We will then drive to Donegal town to tour the Castle and learn about the O’Donnell Clan, Lords of Tir Conaill, and the most powerful Gaelic families in Ireland from the 5th to the 16th century. No visit to Donegal would be complete without a weaving demonstration from Magee’s Weavers and learning about the history of the region’s renowned industry. After time to enjoy the town with its legendary pubs and shopping, we will drive back to Lough Erne to enjoy an award-winning dinner with Chef Stephen in the Catalina Restaurant.

Day 7

After a leisurely breakfast, we depart Lough Erne for Tyrone and the fascinating Ulster-American Folk Park which celebrates America’s 250th birthday with incredible living exhibits of how Ireland contributed to the formation of the United States.

Take time to explore the park and it’s unique recreations before we return to the Lough Erne to enjoy a traditional Irish tea lunch by the lough shores., After the tea, we then continue our journey south toward Dublin and the Crowne Plaza hotel once more as we prepare for our journey home.

Day 8

Guests will say farewell and take the complimentary shuttle from the Crowne Plaza airport hotel to Dublin international airport to fly home.
