Seamus Heaney famously said…. “If we can winter this one out, we can summer anywhere” and there is no time where this is more relevant as we face this COVID-19 Pandemic. I don’t know about y’all…. but I am feeling a little stir crazy inside my home 24/7! Thankfully, I am a dreamer and what’s getting me through is thinking of next summer and traveling to the Celtic lands of Ireland and Scotland. It’s been a mourning period for me and so very disappointing, but the comforting thing is that we are all in this together and weathering the storm with dignity. So, we just literally updated our website replacing all our scheduled tours for 2020….to… 2021..
In light of dreaming and planning of the days when all of this is over, I am going to start sharing some photos, stories and maybe some videos too promoting our summer tours. I am starting first with our Spectacular Scotland tour and the magnificent Glencoe in the Highlands. You may recognize the scene from the James Bond movie Skyfall? My husband will tell you that it’s not very often I am speechless, but this landscape literally takes my breath away. This photo with the little Scottish cottage in the distance and snow covered mountains give you a glimpse, but hearing the sound of the swishing mountain stream and feeling the clean Scottish air in your lungs needs to be experienced.
